The floor
Down on the floor with the grandkids, and back up.
Get up off the floor. Take the stairs without a second thought. Walk all day on vacation.
One complete class, in order

If the floor or the stairs feel harder than they used to, you're not alone. Level 1 gives you a simple way to work on them, at home, one page at a time.
Down on the floor with the grandkids, and back up.
Take stairs and curbs without bracing.
Say yes to the vacation with all the fun.
“Never EVER tell yourself you're too old to make progress.”
Coach Evan Russo
Most workout videos ask you to keep up, or to figure out what comes next. Level 1 does the planning for you.
Every class moves from most support to least support: floor, then chair, then standing and balance. Each exercise gets you ready for the next one. In Coach Evan's words: “Mobilize first, then stabilize.” You don't plan a workout. You turn the page.
1Slow stretches and core work, lying down and fully supported.
2Upper body, a resistance band series and sit-to-stand prep. Then a break.
3Standing practice and balance, with your chair close by.
Do the move, turn the page, do the next one. Every page works the same way, so you always know where to look.

“You don't have to be fit to start. You just have to start.”
Some days will feel easy. Some days you'll lean on the chair a little more. Both are fine. Go at your own pace, keep breathing, and keep showing up. Every session adds up.
One per page, in a 132-page large-print guide.
Floor, chair, standing and balance, in the order you do it.
An 8-step guide to the floor and back up, with your chair.
When to stop, and how to make a move easier.
Open it on a phone, tablet or computer.
Keep the pages you use most by your chair.

No. The method starts on the floor and in a chair and works up to standing and balance. Go at your own pace and use support.
Part 1 is done on the floor, on a nonslip pad. The book includes an 8-step guide to getting down and back up with a sturdy chair. Practice it with someone else in the room. If you can't get on the floor safely, the floor exercises can be done on a couch, a bed or a massage table. If you're unsure, talk with your doctor first.
Talk with your doctor first. Level 1 starts with the most support, on the floor and in your chair, before you stand. The book opens with safety pages on when to stop and how to make a move easier. Move slowly, keep breathing, and stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or unusual discomfort. Skip any move that doesn't feel right that day.
A PDF download: the 132-page large-print guide with 92 exercises, including the 8-step getting down & back up guide. It's a digital product, so nothing is shipped to you.

The method leans on the training that fall-prevention research supports most: balance, functional movement, and mixing several types of exercise (Cochrane review, Sherrington et al., 2019). That's research on these kinds of exercise, not a promise about your results.
